Peraton is seeking a
Senior Software Test Automation Engineer
to join FRBNY Cloud Application Migration team. This qualified individual will support the migration of an on-premises application to the AWS cloud by developing automated test plans, and performing integration, performance, observability testing.What you will do:Test Script Development and Validation:
Develop automated test scripts for the identified test cases.Validate the accuracy of the automated test scripts and perform dry runs to ensure scripts work as intended.Integrate automated test scripts into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure tests are triggered automatically with each build/deployment.
Test Environment Setup:
Define the requirements for the test environment and ensure it mirrors production as closely as possible.Verify that the test environment is correctly set up and configured with all necessary resources and dependencies.Deploy the application to the test environment, follow deployment procedures, and conduct smoke tests to ensure the application is deployed correctly.
UAT Environment Setup:
Ensure the UAT environment is set up and configured similarly to production.Deploy the application to the UAT environment and conduct smoke tests.
UAT Planning and Execution:
Define the scope and objectives of UAT with FRBNY stakeholders.Support FRBNY stakeholders during UAT, log and track any issues identified.Work with the development team to resolve identified issues.
UAT Review and Approval:
Review the results of UAT testing with stakeholders and document the results.Prepare a UAT summary report and obtain formal sign-off from stakeholders.
Final Validation and Deployment Readiness:
Conduct a final validation to ensure the application is ready for production.Confirm that the application is ready for deployment to the production environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of relevant work experience in the IT field will be accepted in lieu of the degree.Software testing experience.Software test automation experience using tools including but not limited to: Selenium, AI Based test automation tools.Knowledge of an overall testing strategy and tailored test plans.Experience preparing comprehensive reports on testing progress/issues.Experience leading and assisting junior Test Engineers.Must be a US Citizen.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to automation concepts, framework & best practices in automating mainframe and web applications.Experience in designing & implementing customized test automation frameworks.Knowledge of various classes of test automation tools.Benefits
