Cloud Data EngineerLocation:

San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)Responsibilities:Develop software from established requirements and build reports and dashboards.Plan and coordinate work with fellow programmers to meet delivery commitments.Create prototypes and offer insight on the feasibility of system designs.Contribute to the design of technology infrastructure and configurations, recommending process improvements.Review complex patches and new versions of data warehouse applications.Implement complex software packages and deploy code.Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.Design, develop, modify, test, and automate data warehouse and business intelligence applications solutions.Develop transition and implementation plans and recommend changes in development, maintenance, and standards.Exercise independent judgment in making complex business decisions.Qualifications:5 to 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, and software engineering.Expert in developing and analyzing complex SQL on various RDBMS (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).Expert knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations.Experience with ETL tools (Informatica) and ability to create quality ERDs (entity-relationship diagrams).Excellent writing skills for user and system documentation.AWS Cloud Data Warehousing Technologies experience, including core AWS services (S3, DMS, Glue, Lambda).Development/modeling experience with Amazon Redshift.Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS (GitLab, Terraform, DBMaestro).Proficiency writing code for serverless applications and AWS security best practices.Experience with visualization tools (Tableau) and scripting with Python.Experience working on an Agile team and understanding of application lifecycle management.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market.
