Founded in 2021, the non-profit Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue (KITDP) aims to secure freedom from techno-authoritarian threats by accelerating the widespread innovation and adoption of trusted technology. The nonpartisan Institute is the preeminent global authority on Tech Diplomacy, integrating tech expertise, Silicon Valley strategies and foreign policy tools to build the Global Tech Trust Network of governments, companies and individuals united around a set of trust principles and a common mission to ensure technology advances freedom. KITDP is a bipartisan initiative under the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with Purdue University, with physical offices in West Lafayette, IN and Washington, DC.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director with a successful track record selling online learning or content solutions to government and/or large enterprises in the US and/or internationally. You will have a demonstrated ability to drive sales for our cutting-edge online training and education programs around the new competency of Tech Diplomacy. As the Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing your own sales strategies to expand our market presence and achieve revenue targets, eventually growing and potentially leading the department.

As the Sales Director for the Tech Diplomacy Academy, a virtual online learning platform populated with cutting-edge short courses on the hottest emerging technologies and their implications on business and policy, designed for enterprises and government customers, you will support the Academy leadership through your outbound selling activities as well as converting inbound leads for bulk subscriptions to large US and international enterprises. Key responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of prospects, such as companies, universities, governments, think tanks, associations, and foundations. The Sales Director will be responsible for generating revenue results as we launch the Academy this January. While the job is remote, it is an advantage to be based in the DC area near our offices. You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and serve as an integral part of the KITDP team, working together to establish mutually beneficial financial partnerships.

Essential FunctionsDevelop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to promote KITDP's Tech Diplomacy Academy.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the technology, policy, and academic industry.Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.Stay abreast of edtech industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.Analyze sales data and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.Skills And QualificationsProven track record of success in B2B content/platform/edu sales, specifically within the technology and education sector.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a future sales team.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Working understanding of technology training and education trends.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams.Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding quarterly sales targets.Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.Can travel as required.A strong passion for the future of trusted technology and a desire to inspire and engage others to make a positive impact.
