Director I Sales

is responsible for directing sales and account management retention activities for California's student business and additional other unique business segments. Products will include medical, dental, vision and supplemental health products. This role will be responsible for successful renewal of an enforced block of business of approximately 175,000 members spanning across 25+ accounts. Additionally, this role will support account sales activities alongside the new business team.How you are going to make an impact:Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth.Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth, retention and financial goals.Develops sales, marketing and client retention plans.Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals.Reports to California RVP.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of a small team of direct reports.Provides a substantial presence in the California marketplace with clients and brokers.Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:Travel required throughout California.Excellent managerial and leadership skills are strongly preferred.Experience within sales & account management is preferred.Knowledge, skill set, or historical experience within student business is preferred.For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the hourly pay range for this specific position is $131,200 - $247,968.In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).Elevance Health is a health company dedicated to improving lives and communities - and making healthcare simpler.
