The successful candidate will supervise our operating model design, process innovation, operational capability development and continuous improvement to launch and scale a new last mile logistics business. The Head of Operations will manage our fleet of electric vehicles and ops / delivery teams, design operational strategies, set performance benchmarks, and foster strong relationships with potential partners and customers. Key parts of the role also include leading digital operations strategies and channeling delivery team’s feedback to our product team to enhance our product offerings.Responsibilities include:Design and execute a robust operations strategy in line with our start-up's vision and objectives.Lead and mentor the fleet management and ops / delivery team, setting targets, and monitoring performance to ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency and scalability.Develop operational infrastructure to deploy, maintain, and scale a fleet of electric micro-mobility vehicles.Design and enable operating model and supporting processes to provide seamless last mile logistics solution for customers.Define digital operations strategies and collaborate with Product teams on process innovation and automation.Lead strategic forecasting and capacity planning to optimize staffing, routing, and scheduling and meet operational performance goals.Continuously monitor operational performance to identify efficiencies and cost saving opportunities.Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and trade shows, using these platforms to foster growth and enhance brand visibility.Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to ensure long-term success and operational scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational initiatives with the broader company strategies.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform and adjust operational strategies.Oversee the development of compelling process innovations initiatives and proposals for infrastructure investment and operational partnerships.Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:3+ years of work experience, preferably in transportation offeringsStart-Up / New Business Venture experience preferredLast mile delivery / micro-mobility experience preferredExperience in operating model design and enablement5+ years of experience managing direct reports / People Leadership roleExperience in leading logistics teams and overseeing operationsA proven track record of designing and implementing successful operations strategies, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure development, digital operations, capacity planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement.Required Education:Bachelor’s degree Business, Operations, or a related fieldMaster’s degree preferredDesired skills:In-depth knowledge of micro-mobility vehicles, delivery platforms, shared vehicle subscriptions, and parcel delivery solutions preferredExceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, partners, and customersSelf-motivated, strategic thinker, capable of thriving in a fast-paced start-up environmentExperience creating press releases and communication materials is preferredWillingness and ability to travel for networking events, customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows as neededAdditional Position Factors:Workstyle: On-SiteTravel: 10%At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
