THE OPPORTUNITY: DIRECTOR SALES ENABLEMENT, LOCATED IN OUR REDWOOD SHORES HQ, CA BUT WILL CONSIDER REMOTE CANDIDATES.

The DIRECTOR, SALES ENABLEMENT is responsible for leading the Enablement and Training Teams in building a world-class training and sales readiness program for a global distributed sales organization. Defines Enablement Strategy to drive increased productivity and alignment with Product Objectives. Ensures the global sales team has the skills, knowledge, tools, and support to win in today’s competitive markets.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for operational excellence, exceptional attention to detail, building teams, and a proven ability to deliver fast and reliable results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. We are looking for a seasoned team player with tremendous drive, intelligence, and capability.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for working with sales leaders to develop front-line sales managers who inspire and drive results. Defines the manager learning curriculum focused on leadership development and day-to-day management best practices to drive maximum productivity from the organization.

Develops training and readiness program to align to teams’ needs (Geo, Level, and Role/Focus) and product line objectives and requirements as defined by the operating plan.

Develops and manages sales tools and content to maximize results and performance. Ensures all content is up to date and easily accessed. Ensures tracking of usage to determine impact and effectiveness of sales tools and content.

Defines technology requirements to accelerate and develop a high-impact global sales learning program.

Assists in the development of key messaging documents for products that include buyer personas, product positioning, and price/packaging used to train Sales.

Works with Leaders to align sales team efforts to product by geo for driving product and brand awareness deep into critical market segments. Activities include deal strategy and coaching, sales revenue programs, and best practices sharing.

Assists Product Marketing and Product Management with the acquisition of competitor product knowledge and effectively communicates a thorough understanding of how we position ourselves against our competitors from a variety of perspectives (messaging, ROI, features, ease of use, security, go-to-market strategy, etc.)

Develops and implements for the Sales Enablement effectiveness measurements.

Works with sales leaders to manage the onboarding, evaluation, and professional development needs of the sales team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts interviews, hires new managers, and provides coaching and guidance during the ramp-up period.

Works with HR and senior management to execute measurement, reward/recognition, and compensation plans for the group that are competitive, motivating, aligned with the Company’s value proposition, vision, and strategy, and within budget guidelines.

Relays the vision and supports the practice of aligning developmental assignments with employees' career goals.

Drives the requirements definition and execution of formal and informal training to meet the skills and experience requirements of the team and support business goals.

Communicates business goals to employees and ensures that their individual development and performance goals align. Conducts employee performance reviews.

Addresses performance issues and provides ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
