About the role:As

Senior User Experience Researcher , you will partner with International Product Strategy, Data Science, UX, and various Product teams to push the spectrum of thinking and amplify user outcomes. You will lead research activities that span across generative work (user discovery, development of customer models, archetype building) and evaluative work (usability studies, user testing, concept evaluation). You will be known as a center of excellence in Design Thinking and operationalizing Design Sprint in various settings.

What you'll do:Create and execute insights roadmaps that align with and inform high-level business strategy and user experience goals.Lead Design Thinking workshops for various levels and teams in Walmart International, falling in love with complex problems and informing strategic solutions.Provide thought leadership to product and strategy teams in understanding customer needs, attitudes, and behaviors through your research; guide internal teams and partners to translate research insights into action.Conduct user discovery, early-stage opportunity evaluation, and market analysis to inform value proposition, concept prototyping, and product development.Contribute to team processes and resources to help establish best practices for research.

Experience:5+ years of user research experience, ideally building complex products within a retail and experience realm.Deep expertise in creating workshop experiences that foster user empathy, commitment, and business outcomes.Strong working knowledge and extensive experience with both generative and evaluative research methods, and both qualitative and quantitative methods, and how to apply them in a fast-moving organization.Deep knowledge of the product design process and ability to collaborate with product and technical teams to help transform complex problems into valuable products.Ability to multi-task across different projects, working quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.Relentless curiosity with the desire to understand the interconnectedness of users, decisions, and product interactions.Superb communication and relationship skills.Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment.Success in an entrepreneurial environment, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.

A plus if you also have:Degree in HCI, Design, or similar.UI/prototyping experience.A strong portfolio showcasing your UX research & experience strategy.Experience in the retail sector.Experience in designing 0-to-1 products in startup or corporate incubation environments.

Sunnyvale, California US-08479: The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications:Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 4 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 6 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.

Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate), driving product development in a user experience area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare), UI/UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area. We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
