‼️ Please note this role is open for remote with a few company-sponsored trips to San Francisco per year OR hybrid here in San Francisco where we go into the office 2x per week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Development Representative, you will be the engine that drives Zeal’s go-to-market motion across direct sales and partnership engagements. You will work directly with our Partner Growth Manager, Chief of Staff, and Account Executive as the first BDR hire here at a fast-growing fintech company. This is a great greenfield role for someone who is excited about building a great sales funnel with lots of opportunities for career growth this year and beyond!

SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON

Identify high-potential businesses, verticals, and markets, and develop and execute outbound strategies to bring them to Zeal.

Develop and lead outbound campaigns from idea generation through to qualified calls.

Launch and test new outbound lead generation channels and how best to scale them.

Manage and support the creation of go-to-market collaterals, e.g. product marketing, social media content, founder voice, competitive market unit economics, etc.

Gain experience working in Salesforce with regard to reporting and managing day-to-day business functions.

Manage Salesforce accounts, pipelines, and opportunities and report closed deals in Salesforce/CRM with details such as billing and other important notes.

Work on side projects in optimizing lead generation through updating and maintaining social media outlets (Blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc).

YOU HAVE

1-2 years experience in a business development role within a SaaS company, plus for B2B.

Experience managing outbound campaigns (also able to teach others on our team what you know).

Written copy for sales outreach and experience structuring email campaigns utilizing a variety of different software tools (we use: ZoomInfo, Outreach, Pipedrive, and others).

Metrics-focused and have utilized A/B testing to improve your funnel metrics.

Examples of creative strategies for outreach.

Reached KPIs in a previous or current position.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE

Start-up experience.

Experience building an outreach process from scratch OR improved an existing one and is excited to build/own it here at Zeal.

OUR COMPENSATION & PHILOSOPHY

The range for this role is between $55,000-75,000 for California-based candidates + commission/equity.
