You will work with a world-class team to meet users’ needs by developing innovative solutions and bringing them to market and will directly contribute to Medtronic’s mission to Alleviate Pain, Restore Health, and Extend Life.In this role, you will be working in fast-paced cross-functional teams to develop embedded software and algorithms for our glucose sensing therapies to maximize safety and minimize user burden. We’re looking for someone who is early in their career with an interest in embedded software who is looking to learn and help us transform diabetes care around the world.A Day in the Life
Responsibilities and skills for this role include:Working under the direction of a senior engineer, implement software features with a minimum number of issues.Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality.Review and provide feedback to improve software requirements.Pursue industry best practices and technology trends.Clearly document software designs, including design functionality and reasons for decisions.Perform integration testing and debugging between firmware and hardware, and between different firmware systems.Willing and able to learn a new technology on your own but know when to seek out help from senior engineers.Accountability to deliver on commitments.A desire to help improve patients’ lives and hold yourself accountable to the rigors of developing software for medical devices.Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in software, electrical or other related engineering field.Nice to Have
Experience in C, Python.Embedded systems development experience.Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy.Debugging and problem-solving skills.Experience working with hardware and software integration tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.About Medtronic
