U.S. Data Security (“USDS”) is a standalone entity of TikTok in the U.S. This new security-first division was created to bring heightened focus and governance to our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S., so millions of Americans can continue turning to TikTok to learn something new, earn a living, express themselves creatively, or be entertained. About the teamThe centralized QA Team of the US Tech Service department of TikTok provides support for multiple service component value chains. In this role, team members have the opportunity to validate, automate, develop, and manage the complex challenges of scale with your expertise in large-scale systems. The main responsibilities include maintaining automation tests, handling user feedback, functional validation, building the App, and release management.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 2 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
As an SDET on our Test team, you will:Be responsible for the entire system testing process, including but not limited to: analysis, designing and executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking;Work on project management, risk management, and process management tasks;Help implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive.
QualificationsBS/MS degree in a relevant field: Computer Engineering or EE;Familiar with Java/Python/Objective-C/Golang, experience in related projects development;2+ years of experience with API testing;Familiar with web architecture, understanding of Django/Flask and other frameworks is preferred;Familiar with Redis, NSQ, Zero-MQ, Kafka, Docker, K8s, Hive, Spark;Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams;Strong passion for mobile internet and building the next generation mobile application, can take full responsibility for end-to-end service.

Job Information:Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112065 - $201600 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life. We offer the following benefits to eligible employees:We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account (HSA) with a company match.
