Collaborate with Sales Audit Staff Accountant on daily tasks and lead timely closing of sales transactions daily and month end sales. This position is also responsible for processing corporate fixed asset invoices.BE THE ISLAND GUIDESales Audit
Investigate and resolve eCommerce, Retail, and EOM transaction errors that flow into the sales subledger. Coordinate as needed with store personnel to properly close the transaction for recording in the financial statements.Reconcile tender types captured in the sales audit system to credit card processor reports and other internal or third-party reports.Make sound, research-based judgments to process transaction adjustments and corrections in a timely manner.Complete all adjustments and corrections required prior to closing the day's activity in Sales subledger.Perform various reconciliations using several data sources to ensure data in multiple systems balance.Coordinate with Retail Operations, Corporate Treasury, and financial institutions to setup new store banking and other financial items.On a daily basis, respond to questions and interact with various departments in the company including Store Operations, Loss Prevention, and Guest Services.Monitor OMS Customer Liability balances and research issues including credits issued prior to fulfillment or cancellation, missed shipping refunds, and incorrectly voided transactions.Research and address OMS related sales rejections errors related to credits issued pre-fulfillment, out of balance transactions, tax jurisdiction issues, offline credits, and others.Fixed Assets
Process corporate fixed asset invoices, review to ensure the invoice meets the capital policy requirements and is part of an approved capital project. Prepare and upload the necessary forms to the fixed asset subledger and forward to accounts payable for payment processing.Track project invoices and perform a month end accrual for assets under construction.Other Accounting Responsibilities
Act as a backup for Sales Auditor role including the following responsibilities:Complete month end journal entries related to revenue and banking, including travel card accruals, eCommerce hardmark discounts, and miscellaneous reclasses and accruals.Complete remote deposits related to freight claims.Maintain gift card database, including issuance and balance audits.Manage gift card, promo card, and other tender related stock.Perform additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as assigned.Essentials For Life In Paradise
BS/BA in Accounting required.Understanding of basic accounting and balancing procedures required.Generally, 2+ years of exposure to high volume sales audit and revenue accounting, banking, or other similar accounting functions required.Prefer Aptos Sales Audit system experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral and written).Detail oriented and highly organized to provide accurate processing.Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.Technologically savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.Rate Range:
