Test Development Engineer - UCS Product Operations

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a lead engineer who will be part of the technical team in UCS Product Operations Test Engineering team developing scalable manufacturing test solutions for UCS servers. You are encouraged to understand principles of Product Test and Quality engineering and also take leadership roles to unify and design test strategies within a team of test engineers. You should be self-directed and able to work under minimal direction in a high energy, fast-paced, highly synergetic multi-functional environment. You will:Engage with engineering team (SW/HW/Diagnostics) to gain in-depth system hardware knowledge for new products. Identify & apply DfX standards.Lead test strategy development and standardization within the test team.Generate product-specific test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements.Design, build and deploy test platforms for Cisco's global manufacturing partners.Analyze, fix and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures.Develop and maintain Python SW test scripts using MFG test automation framework.Educate and train contract manufacturing TE’s on NPI products and test development tools and test procedures.Perform data analysis of Logs, Test Reports and Yield reports.Who You’ll Work With

5+ years of relevant experience working with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, VMware.Proficient in Python with applied knowledge of OOP concepts. Experience in scripting languages such as Bash Shell and/or Perl.Understands design and functionality through hardware specification and schematics.Program and people leadership skills with the ability to work with multi-functional teams domestically and overseas.Experience in manufacturing yield data analysis along with process improvement techniques like R&R.Preferred Qualifications

Computer server proven experience is a plus.Experience with or managing OEM/EMS/CM partners overseas.Deep understanding of manufacturing test flow from SMT, ICT.Any of CCNA/CCNP certifications is a plus.Why Cisco?
