DUAL DIRECTOR OF SALES
for two beautiful properties!The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure that all area properties’ revenues meet or exceed budget, thereby maximizing profit and improving the hotel’s performance in the marketplace. The Dual Director of Sales assists with hiring, training and supervising Directors of Sales, Sales Managers, Catering Managers and/or Sales Coordinators in all sales-related activities, including direct sales efforts, follow-up and proper sales administration.Primary Duties Include:
Assist in developing and implementation of the Business Plan for each hotels’ revenue objectives, including development of Market Share Analysis tool (MSA) and Market Segment Planner (MSP)Meets or exceeds set goals in room revenues, catering revenues, and market shareOperates the Sales Department within established sales expense budget.Coordinates group, transient and catering bookings to maximize profits.Initiates and follows up on leads.Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluates trends within the market and ensures that the Sales Team is held accountable for those accounts within their respective territories/market segmentConducts weekly sales meetings according to OTO Development standardsIs familiar with all OTO Development Sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing RevPAR, Catering and/or Other revenuesConducts all Sales Department Performance Appraisals (as applicable) according to OTO Development S.O.P.’sConducts a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotels with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property, and (as applicable) ensures that all sales team members conduct thorough site inspectionsDevelops strategies to increase share from competitorsUses sales management system to manage the hotels’ business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accountsCoordinates the preparation of complete and accurate end-of-month reports, according to OTO Development standardsCoordinates and directs preparation of the monthly group rooms revenue forecast for the current and upcoming months and assist in ensuring accuracy within 5% margin of errorAbides by Prime Selling Time (PST) and ensures that the Sales Team (as applicable) does the sameApproaches all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented mannerComplies at all times with OTO Development standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsDevelops a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotels, including Guest Services, Reservations and Food and BeveragePerforms other duties as requested by managementWHY OTO?
