We are supported by a full staff of paralegals, legal case assistants, docket and calendar clerks, file clerks, etc., some working remotely, some working in a traditional office environment. Our software applications (matter management system, document management system, etc.) are maintained in a cloud-based environment which firm personnel can access from virtually anywhere an internet connection is available. We are heavily invested in the use of technology to improve the efficacy and efficiency of the practice of law, and our practice is largely paperless. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel Attorney to join our legal team. This is a permanent position in the insurance defense industry. As an Insurance Defense Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in complex personal injury defense cases. You will be required to provide legal counsel, manage cases, and supervise junior attorneys.Responsibilities
Serve as a first chair trial attorney in personal injury defense casesManage all aspects of cases, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparationProvide legal counsel to clients on complex insurance defense mattersSupervise and mentor junior attorneysDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the courtsConduct legal research and stay up-to-date on developments in insurance defense lawParticipate in business development and marketing activities to grow the firm's insurance defense practiceQualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in the state where the position is located7+ years of experience as a trial attorney in third party personal injury defense casesExperience as a first chair trial attorneyStrong knowledge of insurance defense law, including general liability and toxic tortExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIf you are a highly motivated and experienced attorney with a passion for insurance defense, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
