Guidehouse is seeking a Financial and Budget Analyst to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will analyze budget and financial data to identify trends, develop comprehensive reports, and support decision-making for large-scale programs. The candidate will also advise in the creation, development, analysis, implementation, and adaptation of budgetary matters and budget management policy.The Financial And Budget Analyst Will
Assist in the development of the organization’s overall budget documents, and at the Directorate level, support the Government provide advice and analysis to increase the efficiency of the organization’s spending.Support the Government in creation of monthly reports and assist in producing other reports as requested.Assist budget managers by conducting various surveys, research, data analysis, cost-benefit analyses, and budget forecasting.Assist with projecting future budgetary needs and collaborate with Government budget managers and other management personnel to prepare long-term budgetary plans, and other budget reports.Make recommendations to improve the organization’s efficiencies based on interpretation and organization of budgetary information.Present budget analyses and recommendations to senior level management at the beginning of each budgetary cycle.Develop, organize, and maintain files, documents, and materials relating to budgetary practices according to the organization’s policies.Oversee and compare Directorate level and program expenditures to the original budget.Research and monitor changes in the federal, Congressional and DHS tax laws or policies, and actively monitor macroeconomic factors.Provide information and support the Government in responding to Directorates regarding budgets, forecasts, surveys, budgetary trends, and other requested data.What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Budgeting, Accounting, or related field.At least 3 years of experience.US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in budgetary software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Thorough understanding of budgeting principles and practices, statistical methodology, generally accepted budgetary principles.Thorough understanding of the principles of government budgetary analysis.Basic understanding of and ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis.Ability to skillfully perform detailed statistical analyses of budget activities.Ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative and budgetary reports.Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule.Ability to interpret budgetary data contained in reports and ledgers.Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various employees, vendors, stakeholders, and other interested personnel.What Would Be Nice To Have
