We have a very collaborative, talented accounting team and due to growth in business, the company is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to oversee the cash accounting activities for the Company. Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant will include posting of cash receipts, outgoing payments, check processing and GL reconciliations. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for performing general ledger accounting functions, with an emphasis on Treasury, AR, AP, and General Accounting.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESRecord daily bank deposits, outgoing wire transfers, and various cash journal entries into accounting systemPrepare weekly outgoing payment reconciliation for financePrepare Bank reconciliations on a weekly basisPrepare journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with US GAAP for each month-end closeWork with relevant departments to ensure that all checks and outgoing wires issued have been recordedAssist in year-end audits, including audit support schedules and related requestsAssist in providing cash forecasts to financeAssist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessaryWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceSolid knowledge of banking and accountingAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet month-end deadlinesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially in ExcelExceptional attention to detail, flexible and dependableStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsCollaborative team member who offers support to othersNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKEREntertainment industry experienceWorkday experienceWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
