DescriptionGeneral Ledger Accountant - $30-32/hrWe are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team in Newport Beach, CA. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-32 and involves comprehensive general ledger accounting responsibilities for several entities. The role includes the preparation, processing, audit, and reporting of monthly and quarterly accruals, as well as handling complex and specialized transactions related to our global offices. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing detailed accounting tasks and will actively participate in the continuous improvement of our accounting practices.ResponsibilitiesManage monthly and quarterly financial processes, including revenue accruals and journal entries for foreign currency and transfer pricing.Investigate and resolve general ledger discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.Analyze client data for management and auditors, and prepare detailed financial statements and account reconciliations.Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.Engage in special projects, system enhancements, and provide assistance to both local and offshore accounting teams.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.A minimum of three years of corporate accounting experience.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).Experience with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft; SAP preferred.Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, with experience in intercompany and multicurrency transactions.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.Proactive in resolving issues and excellent attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
