Position Overview

CWT is seeking a Senior BT Revenue Accountant.As a Senior Accountant in the CWT Client Revenue Accounting Department, you will play a key role in the billing/ revenue cycle of the company in preparing the client settlements (invoices) for your assigned client portfolio. In this role, you will be working closely with the Client Executives, regional Customer Management team, Legal team, and Pricing team to understand the contract terms and conditions to ensure proper billing and revenue recognition. You will also work closely with the Client Executives in the follow-up of the accounts receivable related to your client’s invoices. There may also be opportunities to take on other tasks and other special projects as assigned to the department. In this role, you will utilize your previous accounting experience, knowledge of accounting and GAAP, attention to detail, and strong personal communication and analytical skills to drive results and work to support the department and the overall company goals.

Position Description

Understanding and applying billing/revenue accounting practices and principles to your client-signed portfolio.Preparing client invoices timely following the client contract terms and conditions.During month end, preparing monthly accruals and potential journal entries for the assigned client portfolio, client P&L analysis and commentary, and unbilled balance sheet reconciliation and commentary for the assigned client portfolio.Researching and resolving discrepancies and issues that arise with the client billing through requests initiated by the Client Executives(s) and/or the regional Customer Director.Participating (upon request) in internal or external company audits to ensure billing compliance is met according to client contract terms and conditions.Working closely with the Client Executives to answer questions related to assigned client billing and assist them with client-related analysis as requested.Assisting with other CWT Client Revenue Accounting Department projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Accounting or Finance.Previous accounting experience (3-5 years).Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.General Knowledge of GAAP-Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work well independently yet function well in a team-oriented environment.Effective communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers.Attention to detail.Systems: Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Reporting and Planning, and Oracle Cloud.Other Attributes: Organized, Customer service focused, Team player, and Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
