STAFF ACCOUNTANT (hybrid)ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Staff Accountant with our direct client in their Miami, FL offices. The Staff Accountant is with a Fortune 500 company who is the leading distributor of industrial supplies in the western hemisphere. The Staff Accountant will work two days remote and three days onsite.Our client is obsessed with growth, so they need to grow their team. They are looking for a dynamic tax accountant to join their team as a Staff Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a minimum of one full busy season in a public accounting firm. This is NOT a senior level role.Staff Accountant Summary
Prepares federal, state, and local corporate tax returns and tax provision by performing the following duties:Staff Accountant Duties
Prepare corporate federal, state and local tax returns.Prepare extensions, estimated payments, withholding payments for corporations.Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the year-end and quarterly tax provisions for corporations.Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.Assist with responses to notices from taxing authorities and field audits.Completes forms for tax refunds.Advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability.Ensures that the organization complies with information reporting and other taxing authority requirements.Organizes and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects.Provides tax advice to organization.Perform tax research as needed.Other duties as assigned.Staff Accountant Requirements
