Responsibilities

The George Washington University Hospital's Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation Department is seeking a NICU Occupational Therapist to join our rehab team on a per diem basis. GW Hospital is a 385 bed Level 1 Trauma Center, Academic Medical Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and offers an 18 bed Level III B Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for our tiniest patients. The dedicated NICU team includes neonatologists, residents, respiratory therapists, neonatal nurses, nutritionists, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and lactation consultants who all work collaboratively to provide optimal care for the neonate.Up to $3,000 relocation bonus available!What do our current Med-Surg OTs value about GW Hospital & UHS?Med-Surg Occupational Therapists at GW Hospital are essential partners with providers, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, and ancillary and support staff in an academic medical center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center that is Defining Medicine. Qualifications

Med-Surg OT Job Requirements:Master's/ Doctorate degree in Occupational therapyExperience in a hospital setting requiredMust have DC License before start of employmentCurrent certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by AHA or Red CrossSkills:Effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenEffective interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to adapt to multiple and changing prioritiesAbout GW Hospital:
