VP of Operations
oversees all aspects of operations (project management, estimating, field execution, material and equipment procurement, prefabrication, and safety) for AC Corporation, a Crete United company. In addition, the VP of Operations has full P&L ownership for the [Construction] department. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and significant operational experience in the commercial MEP contracting industry. The VP of Operations will report to AC Corporation’s President and will have regular interaction with the Crete United Regional Vice President. This position is based in Greensboro, NC.Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve budget goals for your department.Manage all aspects of operations (project management, estimating, field execution, material and equipment procurement, prefabrication, and safety).Optimize project profitability and execution (estimation, pricing, contracting, scheduling, tracking, reforecasting, material cost controls, and labor productivity).Build a strong safety culture to minimize the potential for injuries on our job sites and at our facilities.Build a high performing team and set clear goals for your direct reports.Train and develop the leadership and field staff in your department.Work with the business development team to develop new client relationships and expand existing customer relationships.Work with the President and CFO in the development of budgets, monitor and track the financial performance of your department, and participate in monthly financial and operations reviews.Build long-term business relationships with clients, vendors, sub-contractors and partner companies within the Crete portfolio.Position RequirementsStrong leader with a track-record of leading teams to achieve results.Desire to play a key leadership role during a period of transition and rapid growth at our company.15+ years operations leadership experience in the commercial MEP contracting industry.Experience managing $5m+ projects.Technical knowledge gained through experience as a tradesperson (pipefitter, plumber, etc.), estimator, project manager, engineer, or operations manager.Previous experience leading teams of 50 or more people.Previous experience in a P&L responsible role.Professional Engineer and/or Design build capability is a plus.Strong communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).We offer an extremely competitive base salary with a rewarding performance-based bonus plan along with a highly competitive benefits program.For immediate consideration call Paul Pruitt at 715-808-5712AC Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
