Cloud Engineer

to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. The position is

REMOTE , with in-person travel required in extremely rare circumstances.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot compute assets in AWS and AzureCompose new Terraform code and/or edit existing code for the deployment of AWS resourcesTake an automation-first approach to the administration and configuration management of resources deployed in AWS GovCloudAdminister Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and their AMI lifecycleParticipate in Agile ceremonies as a member of a highly functioning Agile engineering teamCreate, maintain, and update relevant system documentation as requiredBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related STEM discipline is preferred; additional 6 years of work experience or industry certifications may be substituted for education requirements2+ years of relevant experienceAt least an entry-level certification from a CSP (AWS CCP, Microsoft AZ-900)DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hireStrong background in RHEL OS and/or Windows Server with knowledge in maintaining themAbility to script in one or more of the following computer languages: Python, Bash, or PerlFamiliarity with identity solutions that implement SAML/SSO that leverage a CACPreferred Qualifications:

Strong foundational knowledge of networkingOne AWS or Microsoft Associate-level certificationExperience creating and maintaining OCI-compliant container imagesExperience with EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes for container orchestration1+ year of Terraform experienceExperience working with GitHub or similar system and GitExperience working with Ansible for system configurationFamiliar with Microsoft Azure in addition to AWSClearance Requirement:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the timeMust be able to move about inside the office and datacenter to access IT equipmentThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsMust be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policyThe projected compensation range for this position is $72,100-$120,900. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
