You will lead our initiative to become a world-class Global Finance organization through executing month-end close to meet our organization needs, reporting to the U.S. Controller.You will be responsible for end-to-end financial management domestically including payroll, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation for Instawork’s Indian Entity.You will partner with the Country Head and help design and implement various internal policies for finance, expenses, and budgeting, ensuring compliance with all the prevailing laws and regulations of the country and proactively advising management of any changes in regulations.Additionally, you will work with the global finance team to help achieve other business goals as determined by the CFO and Controller from time to time.AccountingLead and own Global Accounts Receivable for the CompanyInitiate best-in-class global support of month-end close, year-end close, and audit supportFinancial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparationOwn end-to-end accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping for the Indian entity along with expense management and vendor paymentsCalculation and remittance of monthly statutory payments and Taxes eg, TDS PF, ESI, PT etcPreparation of financial statements and company’s monthly MIS reportsCoordination with statutory auditors, external consultants, banks, and other government agenciesPreparation and filing of company’s GST and Income tax returnsPreparation & submission of quarterly and annual returnsHelp design and implement various internal policies for finance, expenses, and budgetingAssist with global accounting and reporting in conjunction with the CFO and ControllerComplianceOwn end-to-end compliance for the Indian entity including Financial Audit, RBI, STPI, MCA and other regulatory filings:Periodic tax and statutory payments like EPF, ESI, state taxes etc.Periodic regulatory filings with RBI and MCASTPI and export-related compliancesAnnual audit and tax filingsFacilitate board meetingsAssistance with global compliance and regulatory filingsWho you areCA with 7-10 years of experience with strong knowledge of Indian AccountingKnowledge of US GAAPExperience working with a Big 4 firm is a plusHave handled global financial operations particularly accounts receivableOwnership of financial operations workflows to support Corporate/Global teamFamiliarity with NetSuiteProficient in Microsoft Excel or Google SheetsExcellent written and communication skillsAbout InstaworkFounded in 2016, Instawork is the leading flexible work app for local, hourly professionals.
