This role can be based anywhere in the U.S as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time).The Job:Vouch is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Insurance Platform team. Insurance Platform builds APIs that underwrite, issue, and manage insurance policies. Also under Platform, Vouch’s custom insurance policies are developed and launched on an in-house underwriting and pricing engine, enabling us to launch new insurance products and features in days, not months. You will have the opportunity to contribute critical code that is shaping the fundamental technical and strategic direction of the business.You will:Design, build, and maintain OpenAPI-based APIs, within microservice architectureWork on the core infrastructure for our Insurance platform, which enables the launching and managing of insurance programsWork closely with internal Vouch stakeholders to understand insurance workflows and create flexible solutionsCollaborate with and mentor junior team members on priorities and technical specificationsBe responsible for planning and implementation design of large features within our products and solutionProvide constructive feedback to team members through code reviews and pair programming sessionsYou may be a good fit for the role if you:Have 5+ years of development experienceHave experience building distributed systems and APIs as a product or platformExposure to Node, TypeScript, or Ruby is a plusHave experience in Postgres or another transactional, relational database system, as well as ability to design schemasHave exceptional communication skills.
