Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com.A DAY IN THE LIFE:As Senior Product Manager, Devices, you will have end-to-end ownership, from developing concepts to defining the use cases, launching to production, and iterating across all elements of the customer experience. This role will focus on creating an experience that is easy to use, easy to adopt, easy to navigate and helps Tandem achieve our goal to simplify the lives of people with diabetes and create better outcomes for them.Defines and drives the product roadmap and business strategy for their respective product line, product line consumables, and accessories, driven by internal and external stakeholder and market insights.Understands business and market requirements and translates them into user requirements that can be translated to create product specifications and architecture.Manages prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, profitability, and operational support.Works cross-functionally with teams to execute product development and supports product launches.Proactively identifies and resolves strategic and/or tactical issues that impair the teams’ ability to meet goals.Delivers high-quality product features and optimizations using data to validate and communicate impact.Uses qualitative and quantitative data to develop an understanding of how customers engage with our products and services, what matters to them, and identify pain points they may have.Collaborates with Tandem teammates from UX research, design, program management, engineering, quality, regulatory, human factors, medical affairs and other disciplines to execute and deliver against goals and roadmap.Works closely with Systems Engineering, Quality and Regulatory Affairs to develop coordinated approaches and alignment on regulatory requirements.Utilizes data, insights, instincts, and experimentation to drive product decisions and translates into actionable roadmaps, aligning team objectives with company vision and goals.Defines success metrics and long-term strategic plans for our products.Solves ambiguous problems and proactively identifies and mitigates risks before they become roadblocks.Functions as an internal champion and subject matter expert for our products.Defines and analyzes metrics that inform product success including KPIs.Collaborates with Product Marketing to develop appropriate marketing strategies, training, and messaging for new and in-market products, including content for product education and training for patients and HCPs.Provides thought leadership in segmentation, positioning, and customer targeting for your respective product lines.Communicates with senior and executive management on iterations in product’s lifecycle, roadmap, and/or product performance issues.Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.Other responsibilities as assigned.YOU’RE AWESOME AT:BS/BA degree in engineering, information technology, data sciences, health sciences, economics, mathematics, or other similar fields.6 plus years’ related experience in consumer-facing product management.Experience managing technical products involving hardware and software development, ideally in a medical device environment.Experience translating product strategies and new product ideas into detailed requirements that encompass the full customer experience with your product(s).Experience improving product operations efficiencies.Experience developing 1–3-year roadmaps and gaining cross-functional alignment including senior and executive management.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across disciplines and levels in the organization.Experience with end-to-end product delivery.Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of hardware and software products, preferably in the medical device space or consumer electronics with health applications.Strong experience developing business case justification for new products/services/features or material changes in current products/services/features.Experience contributing to engineering (both hardware and software) discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.A track record of leading cross-functional teams, building trust and inspiring the people who work with you to execute against both the long-term product vision and current priorities.Analytical and good at using data to form a hypothesis and defining metrics to determine the success of product initiatives.Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.Experience and comfort in representing and advocating for various critical customers and stakeholders during senior leadership and at times executive-level prioritization and planning meetings.Highly effective communication, judgment and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate seamlessly with technical and non-technical colleagues.Thirst for delivering first-of-its-kind, game-changing products.Be curious, willing to learn, and stay current on industry trends, including technology, business practices, new opportunities, competitor capabilities, etc.Believes that nothing is impossible and proactively identifies and resolves strategic issues to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.EXTRA AWESOME:MBA is a plus.Previous experience in regulated medical device industry preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You’ll also receive 10 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (starting in year 1) and have access to a 401k plan with company match.
