Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent development projects in accordance with the H2scan Product Development Process and Development Roadmap. The Technical Project Manager will facilitate meetings with cross-functional groups between internal and external resources and will be responsible for ensuring each team is following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes leading rituals such as daily stand-up, stakeholder demonstrations, backlog grooming, and more. Following the H2scan SDLC will help ensure a timely completion of all projects through all phases of the development process.

The Technical Project Manager is expected to effectively interface with and contribute to the productivity of all engineering resources including team members from a variety of disciplines such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, software development, firmware development, quality assurance, industrial design, and manufacturing engineering.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and generation of effective product specifications for developing and maintaining accurate project plans; developing and maintaining both reasonable, but aggressive project schedules; and driving those projects to successful delivery. This includes but is not limited to reporting on Key Performance Indicators (success metrics) such as project status; spend; schedule; resource distraction; and resource utilization.

Additionally, the Technical Project Manager is accountable for project success and is expected to develop mitigation plans and communicate required changes to ensure schedule adherence. If additional resources are required, the Technical Project Manager will contribute to the hiring and on-boarding activities.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple concurrent development projects in accordance with the H2scan Product Development Process and Development Roadmap.Facilitate meetings with cross-functional stakeholders and engineering resources.Ensure timely completion of projects through all phases of the development process.Effectively interface with and contribute to the productivity of engineering resources.Responsible for the facilitation and generation of effective product specifications.Develop, maintain, and communicate accurate project plans.Develop and maintain reasonable but aggressive project schedules with agreed upon buffers.Report on Key Performance Indicators (success metrics) such as project status, schedule buffer consumption, spend, resource distraction, resource utilization, and more.Accountable to mitigate setbacks and slips in schedules.Contribute to the hiring and on-boarding activities.Qualifications

3 or more years of previous experience in technical project management of a new product development and sustaining engineering with an emphasis on hardware development.Led a minimum of one successful product that can be referenced during the interview process demonstrating the candidate has managed the entire development process from concept to release.Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s degree favored, but not required.Well versed in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.Strong communications and personnel relationship skills are a must.Experience with lean product development is favored, but not required.Benefits
