This is a generalist role that spans across functions. Our team is looking for an Operations Manager who will play an integral part in our business operations. You will work across the organization (Product, Eng, Sales, Marketing, Account Management) to define critical business processes. You will have end-to-end ownership - ensuring efficient execution and driving business metrics.This is an incredibly high-visibility, high-impact, high-autonomy role that will quickly expand to cover more and more emergent business problem areas. Successfully navigating and solving our hyper-growth challenges will lead to rapid growth in role and responsibility. Your responsibilities will include improving efficiency, performance, productivity, and profitability using effective approaches and tactics.About You
You’ve got a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning all areas of a startup.You are type A and thrive in bringing order to organizations.You live by self-imposed deadlines.You want to wear many hats and say, “let me figure it out” by default rather than “it’s not possible.”You have knowledge of financial compliance, including sales tax.You have experience in accounting and/or startup operations.You have worked with software tools such as Gusto, Deel, etc.Bonus points - You have experience working with international hiring-related compliance or telecom compliance.Responsibilities
Drive key operational processes in the company, including analytics, finance, hiring, product, and more.Manage HR, payroll, and compliance for a team of 35 remote employees across different countries.Manage finance, budgeting, and forecasting; conduct financial audits.Track, analyze, and optimize company and department KPIs.Create accurate reports on KPIs.Manage and run day-to-day people-related needs such as payroll or employee relations.Assist with outlining clear goal-setting processes across the organization.Communicate with external stakeholders (legal, finance, etc.).Assist GTM org with revenue operations (Hubspot, Salesforce setup, etc.).Drive consistent communication styles and decision frameworks throughout the organization.Cross collaborate within the team to resolve priority needs.Manage all tooling across the organization to ensure consistency and thoughtful usage of tools.Oversee the compliance of operations with specifications and quality requirements.Work on special projects across the organization.Overall Executive (CEO) support.As an early Business Operations hire, we’re looking for people who are eager to exceed these expectations:Surpasses project deadlines.Experience in Business Operations, Consulting.Proven ability to define and prioritize the most impactful strategies, then execute.Impressive strategic and creative thinking throughout complex problems.Embraces and thrives under ambiguity - we’re a small startup, after all!Intellectual curiosity, high ambition, growth & owner mindset.Great to have: experience at a startup.About Unlayer
