Job Description

You will be joining the Bay Area Solution Architecture team and will help account teams in providing Cloud consulting services to customers. Help in Cloud strategies and solutions on all aspects of Private, Hybrid, and Public Cloud migration and operations. You will advise and execute on the best Cloud platform for the workloads with a consultative approach to solving customer’s business problems. You will also be responsible for educating customers on the latest Cloud trends and capabilities, developing Cloud architectures, and guiding the implementation teams. You will have Cloud certifications and be able to develop target architectures on AWS, Azure, GCP, and Private Cloud for workloads such as SAP, Data warehouse, Big data platforms, etc.

Responsibilities:

Develop cloud architecture and implementation of enterprise stack on public Cloud leveraging Cloud native features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elasticity, scalability, containerization, serverless functions, etc.).

Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.

Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns based on the application portfolio as a basis for deploying services to the cloud.

Demonstrate leadership ability to make decisions with research on the “why?” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.

Maintain overall industry knowledge on the latest trends and technologies.

Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.

Able to quickly develop a Point of View for demonstrating the concept in rapid development mode on AWS/Azure/GCP.

Help in thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and presentations.

Mentor/guide junior engineers in developing the MVP/Solutions.

Collaborate with Account teams, competency teams, and business partners to understand and analyze business requirements and processes, and recommend solutions.

Suggest technical solutions to meet business requirements efficiently with greater reusability and long-term vision.

Collaborate with other solution architects to leverage existing technologies wherever possible.

Consultation:

Translating the business requirements into technical requirements and developing the Cloud architecture to meet the technical and business requirements.

Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.

Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.

Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions or escalation to service owners.

Ensure delivered solutions are realized in the timeframe committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk.

Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related study, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.

Experience as a team lead preferred.

Cloud Architect Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP enterprise implementations.

Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.

Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture.

Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.

Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies.

Strong understanding of microservices, containerization, and serverless computing is preferred.
