Here at UKG, our Engineering, Product, Innovation, and Cloud teams (or EPIC), are the driving force behind our cutting-edge technology. These UKrewers are dedicated to delivering best-in-class solutions that transform how our customers work. As an Engineering Manager you will manage a team in the Workforce Management (WFM) Domain, working on developing software to enhance and support the engineering activities. In this hybrid position, you will be responsible for the direct management of Software Engineers to develop new features for WFM Time & Labor.Our principles include trust as the foundation of successful relationships, diving deep and operating at all levels, taking ownership of our mistakes and fostering an environment that encourages learning from failure, having a bias for action, and promoting diversity of experiences and perspectives.
About The Role
Create the conditions for your Engineers to succeed, collaborate with other organizations within the company to eliminate roadblocks for your teamsPartner with the Product Management team to meet or exceed all committed product timelines for the teamsSynthesize high-level initiative descriptions and direction from your leadership to drive clear problem and success definitions for your teamsManage the engineering capacity of a 5+ person teamEnsure optimal organizational structure within the development teamManage hiring plan/continually improve the talent and engagement level of the teamsAccountable for team's technical decisions and debtManage quality of product KPI, manage SLA of the team and drive continuous improvementSeparate and combine tasks into efficient workflow for the teamWork with individuals to set appropriate, challenging development goals, meet requirements and expectations of both internal and external customersProvide actionable feedback and opportunities to team members to lead them to high performanceCreate and manage a high performing and strong team and share wins and successes

Basic Qualifications
More than 6 years of experience developing enterprise-scale productsPrevious experience as a developer/QA5+ years of experience in managing teams using Agile/Scrum methodologiesMore than 2 years of experience managing Software Engineers and Quality AnalystsStrong communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
