What We're Looking For:We're in search of a Compliance Director who will take the helm in being the primary liaison with government auditors. In this role, you'll seamlessly collaborate with all departments across Iridium, ensuring our adherence to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and DFARs, all while maintaining compliance with stringent government regulations and internal controls.Your primary responsibilities will encompass executing and providing counsel to our leadership on compliance in line with various regulatory requirements related to business systems. Furthermore, you'll oversee and ensure the timely completion of various government submissions, thereby fostering Iridium's continued growth and development while upholding our regulatory commitments.What You'll Do:Utilize subject matter expertise to develop Government team expertiseDrive strategy to ensure compliance with CAS, FAR and GAAPInterface with DCAA, DCMA and other government representativesStay current on all government accounting regulations and keep the organization informed of relevant changesCoordinate and lead the preparation of required regulatory accounting submissions within the timeframe mandated by the GovernmentRespond to government audits and coordinate corrective actions as necessaryWork with management to ensure appropriate cost structure for government business including rates, allocations, etc.Provide management with analytical assistance and advice in all government accounting aspectsDevelop, track and report metrics; react to metrics by identifying and solving problems and making improvementsExperience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You'll Need to Succeed:Bachelor's degree in related field12+ years experience in government accounting5+ years supervising employeesExpert in CAS, FAR and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)CPA LicenseExperience negotiating FAR / CAS issues with government agenciesAttention to detailExcellent communication skillsBe a strategic thinker who demonstrates good judgment and decisivenessBe able to analyze a situation or problem and come up with effective solutionsCan easily form relationships with executive leadership and encourage cross-functional team buildingThe ability to thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks according to deadline and budget limitationsBe proactive in finding new and enhanced ways of doing things and sharing your knowledge with othersWe'll also need you to:US Citizenship requiredWork Environment:This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office.
