HQ (Van Nuys, CA) 3 days a week, DC (Carson, CA) 1 day a week, 1 day remoteDÔEN is looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Director to join our growing team in Los Angeles. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to advancing equity and inclusion in their workplace. This position is hybrid and will report to the VP of Operations. The HR Director is a versatile, highly motivated, and dedicated individual who thrives on solving complex challenges, fostering innovation, and enabling the company to achieve its business objectives. This individual will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of HR operations, compliance, talent acquisition, and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in compliance and operations, talent acquisition, and a demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The HR Director will collaborate closely with leaders at all levels within the business to align the HR strategy with the broader vision of the company.Responsibilities

Lead a team of 2 HR professionals with various HR functions including talent acquisition, payroll, learning & development, and HR administration.Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace by developing and implementing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.Collaborate closely with business leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations and strategic imperatives to facilitate alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives.Partner with leaders and managers to ensure team structure and roles are aligned with business objectives.Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees, serving as a living embodiment of the core values that drive excellence at the company.Galvanize, educate, and influence leaders to execute people-related strategies, fostering continuous improvement in line with industry best practices.Deliver strategic People consulting services throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle, encompassing attraction, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, retention, and separation.Proactively assess the development needs of teams and employees, offering recommendations and implementing tailored solutions that empower employees to excel and drive growth.Manage employee relations matters within the context of performance management, conflict resolution, investigations, and employee concerns, while proactively devising strategies to address emerging trends within the industry.Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws, regulations, and company policies.Develop and implement HR strategies and processes to optimize operations and efficiency.Oversee Payroll, Benefits Administration, and other HR Operational Functions.Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies with Recruiter to attract and retain top-tier talent.Deliver ongoing YOY business analysis of all People tools and processes to ensure cost and effectiveness are optimized.Manage a 100% compliant LOA management process.Ensure ADA Compliance, including interactive process and documentation.Collaborate closely with virtually every department throughout the company to align culture-building and development opportunities to facilitate sustainable growth.Qualifications

Ability to analyze and draft proposals for negotiations, memos, and employment agreements.Demonstrate organization and problem-solving skills by analyzing and providing strong recommendations for HR improvements.Proven success in recruiting a diverse talent pool and finding candidates who will foster an environment of inclusion.Demonstrated presentation skills, i.e., HR meetings, trainings, panels.Advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.Demonstrated ability to handle extremely difficult and sensitive situations/individuals effectively.Excellent project management and execution skills.Thrives in a high-pressure environment and can manage multiple priorities.Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team and business.Efficient and organized.Self-directed with a high sense of urgency–a proactive and adaptable 'doer'; entrepreneurial and comfortable operating with ambiguity and change; eager to learn and build; a no-task-too-small mentality.Ability to work in a fast-paced culture where the business needs are ever-evolving, with a critical thinking mindset that anticipates and addresses growth needs of the organization.Ability to communicate effectively with team members of different backgrounds and skill sets, cultural experience.Outstanding interpersonal skills that balance people development with company goals with an emphasis on building partnerships, managing conflict resolution, and negotiations.Passionate about working for an inclusive, values-driven brand.Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.HR certifications are a plus.Minimum Requirements

Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices including State and Federal labor law.Exceptional relationship-building skills and the capacity to inspire and influence at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Track record of building and deploying People systems, tools, and processes, including multi-dimensional organizational structures and business entities.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to articulate value-based solutions to complex business problems.6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 of those years as an HRBP.Demonstrated experience collaborating with teams to resolve complex people-related challenges at all levels of an organization.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.Physical Requirements
