Job Description And Duties
This Limited Term position may be extended up to 24 months. Under the general direction of the General Manager, the Attorney, Assistant Chief Counsel (ACC), directs the Legal Staff for the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA), serves as the legal advisor to the Prison Industry Board (PIB), and functions as a key policy advisor on all legal matters and their related program impact.

The California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) is a self-supporting state agency that provides productive work opportunities and job skills to incarcerated individuals to reduce recidivism and increase public and prison safety.
Special Requirements
The position requires a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application.
Upon a conditional job offer, the selected candidate will be required to clear live scan, a tuberculosis (TB) test, and physical (if applicable). This position is subject to reasonable suspicion drug testing pursuant to 2 CCR 599.960.
