Job DescriptionA well-established legal firm that specializes in insurance defense, habitability cases, personal injury defense, and premises liability is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA! They are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of litigation experience to work alongside partner attorneys with a primary focus on defense litigation.You can look forward to a healthy work-life balance of a hybrid work arrangement, both billable hours and merit-based bonus structure, 100% medical coverage, unlimited PTO, and so much more!Pay Range:
$120,000 - $160,000 DOEResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with 1-2 partner attorneys, offering support and specialized knowledge in litigation casesEfficiently manage a caseload ranging from 8 to 30 cases, ensuring comprehensive and effective handlingOversee all aspects of legal cases from their initiation through to resolutionEngage with clients, providing them with updates and representation during court appearancesEnsure prompt and regular reporting to clients regarding case progress and developmentsPerform in-depth legal research and analysis to develop strategic approaches to casesDraft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and complianceWork collaboratively with other members of the legal team on complex litigation mattersNegotiate settlements, and actively participate in mediations and arbitrations to resolve disputesMaintain strict adherence to legal standards and regulations in all aspects of workOffer legal advice and counsel to clients, addressing a variety of legal issues and concernsStay current with new laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertinent to the firm’s areas of practiceRequirementsPossession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State BarA minimum of 2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in areas such as insurance defense, construction defects, residential landlord/tenant disputes, or dog bite casesExperience in criminal law, personal injury, premises liability, or habitability law is also considered valuableStrong trial experience, with a preference for candidates possessing expertise in this area.A background in legal defense work is highly desirableExceptional attention to detail and a high level of responsibilitySelf-motivated and well-organized, with the ability to work efficiently without constant supervisionExcellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective client relationshipsBenefitsMerit-based bonus structure + Billable hours incentive100% covered medical and vision insuranceDental coverageUnlimited PTO401K with 4% match13 paid holidaysMentorship, career support, and annual trainingWork-life balanceHybrid scheduleIf you’re a driven attorney who is passionate about defense litigation with an expertise in insurance, personal injury, or premises liability defense, apply now!
