Job Summary:As a Business / Performance Metrics Analyst at Clearwater Analytics, you will play a crucial role in identifying and tracking key employee, efficiency, performance, and financial metrics. You will analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights that support employee, department, and company goals and strategies. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and Engineering, you will understand our key business metrics that align with company and department goals. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion, while maintaining a collaborative approach. Comfort with ambiguity is essential, as you will navigate and thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. The ability to communicate with senior leaders at every level is key.

Responsibilities:

Document senior leadership performance scorecards metrics, targets, and results.Evaluate employee performance via performance scorecards.Review and analyze metrics results at the different levels (e.g., company, department, employee).Interpret business, company, financial, and efficiency metrics to provide insights and improvement opportunities.Help design and measure performance metrics, working with the business to identify metrics that align with their business needs, goals, and strategy.Create and maintain financial/analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations utilizing tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL.Identify relationships and trends in data to uncover insightful findings and perform root cause analysis.Work with the HR and finance teams to create ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed.Identify data gaps and develop methods and processes to gather missing data, working closely with various business stakeholders.Own the end-to-end process of data gathering, tracking, quality checks, monitoring, and reporting.

Requirements:

Understanding of key human resources and financial metrics (e.g., Revenue, Gross Margin, Attrition, CSAT, NPS, ESS, Sales targets, etc.).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends and insights.Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, etc.).Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.Ability to excel in a highly matrixed organization.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience of 7+ years as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the fintech, financial services, or investment management industry.

Location:

Mclean, VA (Hybrid: 4 days/week in office).
