The purpose of the division is to integrate a holistic approach to wellness through a Collective Impact framework aimed at providing seamless access to resources for a wide spectrum of needs. By doing so, HWS aspires to ensure students have the support they need to be successful in reaching their academic and personal goals, as well as creating a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable environment that is conducive to learning using strategic, measured outcomes, both short-term and long-term. The goal is to improve the wellness of all UCR Highlanders, and to instill healthy lifestyle behaviors for those engaged and connected to the Highlander Community.The position of Research, Evaluation, and Data (RED) Analyst for HWS will develop a comprehensive evaluation plan that shows the impact of work being done across HWS, and how that work translates to supporting student success (e.g., retention, graduation, completion, wellness outcomes, etc.). The incumbent will provide a wide range of advanced statistical expertise, guidance, and analytical support while working directly with HWS leadership, including study design, managing, cleaning, and analyzing a large number of data sets in varying formats, establishing a cohesive data plan for departments across the HWS division, review and analysis of HIPPA data from electronic health records, and datasets collected by surveys implemented by individual (and campus-wide) survey feedback.The role will be expected to interact with the Institutional Research (IR) team, statisticians, data managers, as well as other UCR team members, including faculty and staff researchers from various departments across campus, including programmers, program administrators, and others. The incumbent is expected to work well independently, and within a team setting, to provide support to data needs of all projects under the HWS umbrella, as well as prepare analytical files, conduct statistical analyses, and prepare data and findings. Additionally, this role will integrate complex datasets from heterogeneous sources and develop and maintain databases (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SPSS, Redcap). It is also expected that this position prepare presentations and reports based on the data analyzed. The incumbent will also be expected to confer with data and IT personnel from across campus, and will be responsible for application of a broad range of statistical data analysis methods, including generalized linear and additive models, mixed effects models and other multivariate methods.The salary range for the Research, Evaluation, and Data Analyst is $68,500 - $123,900 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $96,200 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
