We replace traditional meat with plant-based, hybrid, and cultured alternatives, none of which requires traditional farming – and butchering – of livestock. We go beyond ground meat alternatives you can find in grocery stores and cover the whole range from chicken breast to tuna steak to wagyu beef. This is enabled by ground-breaking innovations in 3D Printing, automation, and tissue engineering. We spun out of Harvard University in 2022 and are currently assembling our core team.We are looking to fill several positions at all experience levels and as soon as possible in the areas of:ExtrusionFood ScienceMaterials ScienceMechanical/Process EngineeringComputer Engineering/ScienceThe JobProvide hands-on operation of extruders from bench to pilot-plant level to produce prototypes in support of new 3D Printed technologies and new ingredient solutionsLead and manage extrusion-based projects as the overall product development process grows and changesImplement scale-up expertise to bring a plant-based food product to lifeGain an accurate and technical understanding of food ingredients used in the formulation and manufacture of extruded food systemsTroubleshoot potential machine and engineering roadblocks in a technical and cost-effective mannerApply cross-functional problem-solving skills in regards to food formulation, new technology application (i.e. 3D printing), bench-to-pilot scale-up, and other types of food manufacturing machineryDocument all learnings and communicate them productively with the rest of the teamParticipate in growing a healthy, vibrant team focused on building the future of plant-based proteinWhat we offer:Joining a rapidly growing company from the very beginningFull ownership of exciting and challenging projectsGrowth opportunities and mentorship from experienced colleagues (e.g., from Harvard, MIT, and BCG)Being part of the sustainability revolution for a greener and better worldMuch more!Who you are:A scientist or engineer in one of the mentioned fieldsOpen to learning new skills in the areas of 3D printing, materials and food science, computational design, and tissue engineeringA builder and tinker at heart.
