Position Description
We are looking for
Software Engineers
who have hands-on experience developing cutting-edge solutions using C++ 21 or higher who are excited to apply their talents to our customer's challenging projects. We seek people who desire application of their talent to Outside Analytics' core values of advancing people and mission across both commercial and US Government markets. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with an excellent understanding of technical engineering concepts.
Position is hybrid with an on-site presence required at our Broomfield, CO headquarters.
Clearance Requirement
This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred. Due to clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required.Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.Debug and fix issues.Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.Deploy software applications to production environments.Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.Develop and maintain documentation.Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Required Qualifications And Skills
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field5+ years of experience in a software engineering role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)Professional, hands-on, software development experience using tools and languages in our tech stack, specifically C++ v21 or higherDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication skillsU.S. Citizenship
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
Experience building backend web services and/or native applicationsExperience with additional tools and languages in our tech stackExperience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologiesExperience with cloud computing platforms (eg: AWS, Azure)Experience with database design (eg: Postgres, NoSQL)Experience with messaging middleware (eg: ZeroMQ, KAFKA)Experience with GitlabExperience with Atlassian toolsWillingness and ability to learn new languages as necessaryInterim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
Salary Range:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $175,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
