The System Administrator performs the more complex duties of maintaining and overseeing the Bank’s servers and network to ensure proper maintenance and security in addition to implementing new technologies and fielding technical escalations for our internal staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Network and Server Support: 75%Support the Bank's user community by maintaining and installing applications at the network/server levelWorking with Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) including branch rollout, staging, and prep work.Supporting and maintaining a wide range of technologiesMaintain file and directory structure and securityPerform proactive maintenance as required to keep the network runningMonitor and test backups, replication, and proceduresProvide level 3 escalation for employee user issuesTroubleshoot and resolve server problemsMaintain Microsoft updates, and patches on servers, and other infrastructure securityPerform regular maintenance on servers and server-based softwareProvide escalation/emergency support in the on-call rotation scheduleProvide SAN support and necessary maintenancePerform periodic recovery testing of disaster recovery plansManage data access and permissionsUnder direction, carry out network changes, server changes, maintenance plans, and break-fix solutions.Network and Server Project Implementations: 25%Work together with the System Admin team on projects as neededPerform detailed project tasks as defined by project plansAttend project meetings, participate and communicate status, roadblocks, or delays with project tasks.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience with Network Infrastructure (Routers and switches)Experience with phone system, VPN access, connections and services.Experience in Windows Server, Active DirectoryExperience with Microsoft 365 technologies such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, IntuneExperience maintaining backup solutions, knowledge of Commvault helpfulKnowledge of all System Utility applicationsKnowledge of VDI Citrix Xen desktopExperience with VMwareExperience with SANsFamiliarity with scripting languages i.e., Powershell, Python helpfulSkills in troubleshooting computer hardware and softwareStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work well with othersLicenses and Certifications:Comp TIA Network+ certification preferredMicrosoft Certifications preferredVMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent experience preferredCitrix Certification preferredExperience with Azure helpfulMust maintain valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turnAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to use a computer keyboard and calculatorWork environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a deskEducation and Experience:A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of five years' experience in Information Technology.Compensation:Compensation range for this position is $38.83 to 58.28 per hour.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
