Location: Cheshire, CT (ASG) - ManagementHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Cloud DevOps Engineer, Advanced Technologies & Services, hereafter referred to as “CDE - AT&S”, is responsible for implementing and migrating the Airgas Cloud Service (ACS) to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and maintaining the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure. The CDE - AT&S will work with the ACS Lead Architect to implement the AWS infrastructure to support the migration of the ACS services. The CDE - AT&S will coordinate with IT to ensure the environment meets the design needs. The CDE - AT&S will be responsible for promoting new application revisions into the production network following industry standard CI/CD best practices. Personally owns/administers critical documents (e.g., Project Plans, Hazops, DOE’s, etc.)Talent:

Attract, develop, motivate, retain, and lead top talent for the following technical disciplines:Systems EngineersSystem AdministratorsNetwork EngineersSupport TechniciansKey Responsibilities:Implement AWS environments based on requirements provided by the ACS Lead Architect.Ensure AWS environment elements maintain compliance with corporate security policies.Provide input into project plans with sufficient functional decomposition to facilitate accurate estimates and execution.Ensure projects are completed within estimates provided to Project Management.Develop and maintain an extensive network and solid working relationships with functional leaders across Airgas & AL.Capture requirements and make appropriate recommendations/proposals to the ACS Lead Architect.Evaluate and protect Intellectual Property (IP), working with the legal department and engineering teams as required.Promote system improvements by recommending new technologies and strategies to the team.Lead the efforts to create and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and processes.Consult with other teams on best practices around security and deployment strategies.Document clearly and demonstrate the CI/CD process.Maintain agreed-upon Service Level Agreements.Are you a MATCH?The Cloud DevOps Engineer, Advanced Technologies & Services will possess strong technical and practical knowledge of the products fielded and supported by the group. The CDE AT&S will have a demonstrable history of successfully implementing or managing AWS environments and CI/CD infrastructures.Advanced Technical Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc. In lieu of degree requirement, may accept an equivalent level of education and/or experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in AWS and CI/CD environments.Experience managing and knowledge of the following areas highly desirable:Advanced experience with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Mail).Linux (RHEL Linux preferred).Hands-on experience with AWS environments utilizing VPC, EC2, Aurora, Security Groups/ACLs, Aurora DB, Route53, etc.Proven experience with migrations from self-hosted to AWS.Experience with monitoring system performance across the entire technology stack.Familiarity with creating system scripts (Bash, Perl, PowerShell, etc.).Ability to implement and maintain API services such as Restful.Comfortable learning new software as needed.CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, etc.Python programming experience a plus.Proficiency in Git framework.Comfortable analyzing system logging to aid troubleshooting.Ability to troubleshoot application status to discern infrastructure issues from software defects.Your differences enhance our performanceAt Airgas, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders, and cultures across the world.
