This person will provide strategic and consultative management for a portfolio of existing and new clients in our government solutions vertical. As the strategic advisor to the client, you will be required to have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies and industry trends as well as Fiserv solutions that address their requirements.What you will do:Expanding existing accounts within an assigned portfolio for the organization's key or national, large complex customers below the global account levelGrowing existing accounts within an assigned portfolio for the organization's key or national, large Government and utility customersProspecting and closing new Government and utility accounts within an assigned geography, including owning the sales representative role in RFPs through to signing new client contractsDeveloping, maintaining, and building strong relationships with clients while embodying the highest ethical standards and treating others with dignity, respect, and genuine concernWhat you will need to have:Long sales cycle (12-18 months), “C-Level” (CEO, CFO, COO) sales experience required8+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management functionsBachelor’s degree or military service time required3+ years Government or utilities backgroundWhat would be great to have:Possess a fundamental understanding of solution selling and the ability to build and sustain relationships at a senior level with clientsExperience with eCRM tools, tracking and reporting pipeline, and achieving sales targetsLeads and develops an account strategy using client growth plans, budget and project timelinesPrior experience in the Acquiring and/or Payments IndustryProduct management experience preferred, with experience working with Merchant clients, relationship management, and cross consulting.Travel required:
