The successful applicant will support TC Energy’s US Natural Gas Technical and Operational Services efforts as part of a business processes team that provides seamless interaction for internal business units, Operations, Engineering, and IT resources. The team supports the organization with the flow of information and intelligence via citizen data science and analytics tools to resolve complex business questions using a multitude of proprietary transactional systems and external data sources. This role is a mesh of a data engineer, analyst, and developer who would be responsible for the design, development and testing of solutions for our internal partners. Your solutions will drive actionable improvements to our business and must be customer focused and innovative.Be a Power Platform champion in the organization. Continuously sharpen skills and explore new tools and opportunities with a variety of data across various platforms (AWS, Dynamics 365, Office 365, SQL Server, etc.)Plan and coordinate reporting of complex information and processes across multiple platforms.Analyze complex business processes.Design and develop technological solutions such as data products, learning models, dashboards, and analytics, and assist with the data needs of other analysts throughout the organization.Exercise judgment in selecting and interpreting information, handling analytical problems for non-routine issues; ability to quickly determine when deviations or anomalies can lead to problems.Communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze/interpret business information needs and translate those needs into effective reporting or visualization tools.Communicate regularly with departments both within and outside of Commercial Operations to effectively manage change.Be a forward thinker, with the desire to explore, learn and apply new tools and analytic opportunities. Acts as liaison between Technical and Operational Services and IS Support to resolve issues and give technical direction.Provide direction, insight, and training to other members throughout the Technical and Operational Services, related to data intel and citizen development opportunities.Build and utilize effective and positive working relationships with other departments.Be a disrupter, challenge the status quo, and encourage team members and partners in the business unit to innovate and embrace what is possible.Provide thought leadership to our team; be an advocate and support citizen development within the business unit. Demonstrate and teach leading practices for data science and analytics.Qualifications:

Previous report writing experience is a must including experience working with a query or programming language (for example: DAX, Java, SQL, Power Query, Python, R, Spark, VBA, etc.).Post-educational experience with data science, data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization and information management.Knowledge of AWS cloud-based reporting solutions (Athena, Data Brew, Glue, and Sage Maker Canvas).Experience with MS Office and Power Platform tools (Automate, Dataverse, Office 365, Power Apps, SharePoint, etc.) with 2 years or more work experience with Power BI.Preferred 3 years or more experience with data visualization and reporting.Preferred experience with automating manual tasks using Power Automate.Knowledge of Data Science tools, AI and ML models, and applicability (Decision Trees, K-Means Clustering, Jupyter Networks, Neural Networks, and Pandas).Knowledge of natural gas Operations & Engineering areas including Reliability, Measurement, Storage, Integrity, and Projects, is preferred.Must be results oriented with a drive to explore new technologies and value-added opportunities for the organization.Must have strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead meetings efficiently and encourage healthy discussions to gather required information to make decisions and achieve objectives.Must be an effective listener and observer, possessing the ability to translate knowledge obtained into appropriate action.Requires ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated with proven ability to work autonomously.Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practice.To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-HybridAbout our business
