This position may be involved in developing new product ideas that will produce value to customers, establish key relationships in the channel to acquire market insights and voice of customer knowledge to position Cannon Equipment as the leader in this space.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Build key customer relationships within the 3PL/eCommerce fulfillment and Retail segments, identify business opportunities and approach to customer, negotiate and close business deals within our targeted customer segment and capitalize on other opportunities presented by utilizing the Cannon sales team as support.Manage existing customer expectations and present growth opportunities with these customers as well.Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the 3PL/eCommerce and Retail marketplace along with ongoing market condition reporting.This role requires a solid understanding of 3PL/eCommerce fulfillment and retail operations with capability to identify opportunities and develop solutions for material handling applications.This role requires the ability to understand, analyze and communicate solutions for a wide range of customer product material handling applications, from simple to complex.Participate actively in 3PL/eCommerce/Retail marketplace activities such as trade shows, groups and associations in order to maintain knowledge of the industry and keep Cannon Equipment at the forefront of the industry relevance and strengthening our brand position.Develop and maintain a 3PL/eCommerce/Retail competitive analysis with periodic management review process to discuss and adjust our segment strategies.Create process and action plans to develop new customers in the 3PL/eCommerce/Retail segment.Develop relevant presentations specific to customer wants and convert them to new clients of Cannon Equipment. Continuous pipeline nurturing for new business in this segment.Establish connection and working rapport with Cannon’s internal team including the leadership team, engineering/design, purchasing, and production in order to fulfill and deliver customer solutions to our customers.Work with teams to develop processes and products as well as working on strategies for Cannon’s growth. Leverage existing brand awareness and expertise, including utilization of the vast Retail market knowledge and resources available within The Marmon Group of Companies.Proactively manage resources, choosing priorities and setting goals in response to change.Solve escalated complex customer service issues, responding promptly to client and solicit customer feedback to improve service.Apply the business values, best practices and principles available in the Cannon and Marmon tool boxes.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).3+ years related experience in the 3PL/e-Commerce and/or Retail industry.Demonstrated experience of defining and implementing business strategies.Success in leading and championing innovation to improve operational efficiencies for customers.Excellent financial skills to be able to interpret financial data and bridges, spot opportunities to reduce costs or improve profitability.Proven ability to effectively motivate, coach and mentor project team members.Proven ability to develop long-term sustainable and trusted partnerships.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task effectively and work well under pressure.Successful experience communicating and influencing effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of company employees and customers.Strong leadership, management and process skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office range of products.Willing and able to travel up to 50% of time.
