Job DescriptionRemote Candidates must be located in CaliforniaA rapidly growing family law firm is searching for a tech-savvy Senior Family Law Paralegal to support one attorney from a remote position. The firm is based out of Cupertino, CA so candidates must be located within California. They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of family law paralegal experience to help oversee a caseload of 35-45 cases and serve as the primary liaison between clients and attorney. As part of a supportive team, you'll enjoy the freedom to manage your day-to-day activities with the trust and autonomy that comes from remote work. $37 - $45 / hour DOESenior Family Law Paralegal Requirements5+ years of dedicated experience in Family LawParalegal certificate is preferredExceptional organizational and detail-oriented skillsStrong communication abilities and professional phone presenceMust have experience with legal processes and regulations specific to CaliforniaProficiency in using legal software such as My Case CRMAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a remote settingDemonstrated capability to handle a high caseload effectivelyFamiliarity with drafting, calendaring, and e-filing proceduresSenior Family Law Paralegal ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact between clients and attorneys, ensuring clear and timely communicationOversee a caseload of 35-45 cases, managing all aspects from initiation to resolutionPrepare legal documents, including motions, subpoenas, and trial preparationsMaintain accurate legal calendars to ensure no deadlines are missedHandle electronic filing of court documents, primarily for courts in Northern CaliforniaConduct comprehensive discovery processes to gather and analyze pertinent information and documentsDraft and manage the issuance of subpoenas to procure necessary evidence and witness testimonyDevelop and file legal motions pertinent to ongoing casesAssist in preparing cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, documents, and witness listsKeep track of all case-related deadlines to ensure timely submissions and compliance with court schedulesBenefitsCompetitive pay + monthly billable hours bonusMedical, Dental and Vision insurance401K PlanVacation/PTO/PSLPaid holidaysRemoteIf you have a passion for family law and can handle a rigorous caseload with expertise, apply now!
