At Live Nation Entertainment, our people embrace these qualities, so if this sounds like you then please read on!THE JOBPrep Cook is responsible for the preparation of food items for service in a high volume restaurant.WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DOPrepare food items according to recipesEnsure portions are correct size and weightEnsure proper rotation of all food items, including the lifting/moving of all food bins weighing up to 150 lbs.Keep all work areas clean and spill freeEnsure floor is cleaned, mop spills and remove any food, trash, or other obstacles from floorInspect food for spoilageMaintain equipment in prep area of kitchenMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shiftFollow House of Blues safety and sanitation standardsAssist other employees as neededFollow closing procedures and check out with manager on dutyEnsure guest satisfactionWHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRINGRequired:Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operationsLarge batch cookingKitchen sanitation knowledgeAble to consistently follow recipe standardsSkills in using a knife and heavy-duty kitchen equipmentHigh School DiplomaPreferred:Ability to organize and manage timeSelf-motivation – work with little supervisionAble to inspect food items for spoilage and properly rotateLine cooking and dishwashing skillsPhysical Demands/Working Environment:Working environment is fast-paced and often stressfulPosition requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetMust be able to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYWe are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
