The Operations Legal Team provides advice and counsel to management and programs on various matters including contract law, government procurement, and federal grant administration. Negotiable; commensurate with education and/or experience, if approved.Qualifications / Requirements:Three years of experience as an attorney practicing law and providing legal services such as preparing and trying cases, advising clients, and/or interpreting laws or administrative policies. In accordance with Section 7-101, Nebraska Revised, Reissued Statutes of 1943, incumbents in this class must be admitted to the Nebraska Bar.PREFERRED:

Experience managing or leading legal staff or legal operations. Experience with contract law; federal, block, or state grants; public contracting; software licensing agreements; experience with employment and labor relations.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:Excellent legal research and communication skills. Ability to interpret and communicate the legal effect of transactional documents; analyze the application of relevant law to specific facts; recognize the impact of developing legislation and case law on the agency and its programs; and interpret complex federal and state constitutional, statutory and regulatory law.
