Job Description Summary

Designs and implements programs for both Branded and Private Label sales to retail grocery and retail deli in assigned regional demographic markets at the headquarter level. Selling direct to major retailers, wholesalers, and distributors within the club natural channel in eCommerce to customers such as Amazon Fresh, Trader Joe’s, Costco, KeHe, and Sprout’s. Building relationships with retail account, wholesalers, and distributor including top management, merchandising, accounting, advertising, operations, logistics and finance. Collaborates with internal sales development and marketing teams to achieve sales objectives. Develops and manages sales plans and ensures equitable disposition of customer problems. Prepares sales and financial reporting. May be assigned to special markets/complex product lines that require significant client relationship skills.This role will cover accounts predominantly in the West. Candidates should be located near a major airport due to travel requirements.

Delivers sales goals using appropriate resources available, balancing volume and profit goals and managing a dynamic environment to achieve results.Develops and delivers ambitious, articulate, consultative, fact-based selling proposals and presentations leveraging key insights with poise and confidence.Interfaces across functions at the customer to develop mutually beneficial programs and actionable solutions.Develops joint scorecards with strategic business partners to measure plan success.Incorporates financial resources (trade & shopper marketing) into the planning process to drive market share.Develops action plans which define strategic and tactical initiatives for the customer in accordance with customer segmentation and aligned with Lamb Weston strategic direction.Maximizes the ROI to Lamb Weston on new product and brand introductions.Anticipates and addresses execution issues/objections before they become a problem.Leads cross-functional collaboration internally and externally.Continually monitors and evaluates customer/marketplace insights to anticipate opportunities.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Minimum BA/BS degree, MBA desirableMinimum of 8 years progressive sales experience, to include account management in the Retail Grocery ChannelRequired: Experience calling on retail headquartersRequired: Experience with Natural, Club and eCommerce channels preferredSales management experience in the management of multiple product categories and customers.In-depth knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts and methodsStrong skills in development and maintenance of customer relations and promotions managementCapable of effectively interpreting and using multiple information resources to develop strategies and tacticsProficient in PC tools and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail). Knowledge and understanding of DOMO and Salesforce a plus.Able to establish and maintain strong internal and external working relationshipsStrong interpersonal and directing skillsProven fiscal responsibilityTravel up to 50%Valid US driver’s license and ability to meet Company driving standards.

A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $118,130.00 - $177,200.00.
