Area Sales Manager - Northern CaliforniaPay Grade:

T3Job DescriptionEssential Functions:This is an exciting opportunity in Southern California for an Area Sales Manager. The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for developing customer and dealer relationships to grow Allison business. The ASM will develop and implement annual sales plans crafted to achieve Allison’s business objectives. The ASM will play a key role in providing real time market trends, voice of the customer, and relevant business development input to facilitate key business decision making by senior leadership. The ASM will align with and work closely with Allison Distributors to support growth across all business segments.Education Requirement:Bachelor’s DegreeRequired KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:A minimum of 5 years of business experienceOutstanding communication skills (verbal & written)Previous sales/customer support experience or Allison related experienceDemonstrated high level of interpersonal skillsHighly self-motivatedAbility to demonstrate functional and technical excellenceAbility to work collaboratively across all functions to achieve sales objectives and goalsAbility to travel on a regular basis for company businessAbility to build valued business relationshipsOrganized, detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple prioritiesLOCATION:Northern California (Sacramento, San Francisco, Stockton, San Jose, Redding)Essential Functions:Development and execution of sales plans and activities designed to increase demand for Allison productsIdentification and pursuit of incremental sales volume in targeted marketsBecome valuable resource for customers, OEM dealers, and distributors through training, support, and vehicle specification and develop long term relationshipDevelopment and execution of sales presentations to dealers, distributors, and end-user customersCompletion of vehicle application analysis to ensure proper product utilization and optimizationManagement and implementation of key growth initiatives and programsProvide a high level of customer support thereby influencing customer enthusiasm for Allison productsDevelopment of relationships and growth opportunities with channel partnersDevelopment of product knowledge and the advantages of Allison productsDevelopment of local market knowledgeReporting of real time market dynamics and competitive updates to support forecasting effortsRepresent Allison at Industry trade shows and exhibits, and Industry Associations and MeetingsAbility to work cross functionally to provide superior/unrivaled, customer support to fleetsOther duties as assignedPlease note that Allison Transmission will make an offer of employment only to individuals who have applied for a position using our official application.
