JOB SUMMARY:
As Counsel for Pulte Mortgage LLC, you will provide legal support to the company’s residential mortgage operations and be an integral member of the Legal and Compliance Department.
Primary Responsibilities
Research and prepare presentations to inform business leaders of regulatory requirements and changes relating to residential mortgage origination and servicing.Research and advise business leaders on policies, procedures, statutes and regulations in the areas of consumer financial services including residential mortgages, vendor management, advertising, fair lending, privacy and information security.Provide legal advice to support regulatory reporting.Support residential mortgage closings including reviews of trusts and powers of attorney.Work with vendors and business partners to provide guidance and resolve compliance issues.Partner with outside counsel on various legal issues.Position will report to the General Counsel of Pulte Mortgage LLC.MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs.Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent.Delegates work according to employee’s abilities and skills.Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities.Creates opportunities for employee growth.Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors).SCOPE:Scope of responsibilities will encompass legal and compliance leadership and guidance for Pulte Mortgage.Direct Reports: Yes.Indirect Reports: No.Physical Requirements: May require travel from time to time.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.Licensed to practice law in Colorado (or able to obtain license promptly after hire).REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2+ years mortgage origination or servicing experience preferred.2+ years business law, vendor and commercial contract negotiation and drafting experience preferred.Law firm or in-house counsel experience in consumer financial services law preferred.This position is hybrid requiring two days per week in office (Englewood, CO).
Salary Range: $128,500 to $167,000 annually depending upon experience. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
