The Kallista Business Development Manager A&D is responsible for driving top-line sales growth through the development of relationships with trade professionals. Identify and own key decision makers and execute a joint strategy with your regional team to grow sales. The primary focus will be to build the Kallista brand across multiple audiences, including Design & Architectural firms (main focus), Builders and Contractors, resulting in a market share increase of Commercial and Residential business.Specific Responsibilities

Business development to build repeat sales, new relationships and future business:

Create a strategic sales plan and detailed tracking of customer interactions and opportunities.Conduct sales calls with a focus on targeted high-potential Design and Architectural Firm accounts, marketing new and featured products.Follow-up on leads to generate new business.

Strategic research with attention to detail to identify customer targets and ultimately build out brand recognition across all key markets:

Organized through online and offline activities.Develop valuable insights to understand the value chain and what drives purchase decisions.Identify partnership opportunities to increase Kallista brand recognition and build A&D advocates: new channel promotions, sampling programs, etc.

Deep understanding of Sales & CRM processes and systems:

Lead Nurturing to ensure long term success of outreach activities.Trackable conversion rates and list management.Close collaboration with marketing teams.

Strong Social Selling Expertise:

Established social network on LinkedIn and Instagram.Deep understanding of social selling and building local communities.Providing personalized outreach and white glove services to all relevant audiences.Ability to represent the brand at local and national community events.

Strong Virtual and Physical presentation skills to represent the brand in a variety of engagements:

Clearly articulate unique selling propositions.Develop deep understanding of the brand architecture and reasons to believe.

Develop detailed knowledge of all product lines and features:

Participate in training activities, including product knowledge presentations and online learning, to supplement product knowledge.Complete training courses to continually develop and hone presentation, negotiation and sales skills.In conjunction with Marketing, recommend appropriate products gaps and price strategies to allow Kallista to achieve annual business growth objectives.

Represent Kallista within key industry organizations and trade shows.Benchmark against key competitors.Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or Economics from a four-year college or university preferred.Must have a minimum of 5+ years outside sales experience, with strong preference given to experience in Decorative Building Products.Strong communication skills required.Experience in selling luxury products is highly preferred.Travel

This role requires overnight travel, up to 25%.Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is $91,950 - $116,800. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
