Industrial Stormwater/Wastewater Scientist.

This is a remote based role.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations.Lead regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater and wastewater management.Prepare and review Water Quality Management Plans, which communicate stormwater and wastewater regulations affecting the management of water sources at a facility.Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).Review and assess compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.Mentor and supervise junior staff while managing tasks of varying sizes and complexity.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:B.S. Degree in Science or related plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.This role requires nationwide travel (50% of the time).Valid U.S. Driver's license is required.Preferred Qualifications:Strong focus and attention to detail.10 years of experience focused on water quality compliance.Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act.Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software.Mentorship Experience.Experience consulting DOD clients.Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to environmental compliance.Additional InformationDue to the nature of this role, U.S. Citizenship is required. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
